Focus:
Marketing is about developing new business, ensuring that existing customers and clients are satisfied and building a valued brand. Today we have an entirely new set of marketing tools, strategies and tactics to work with. Understanding and profiting from these resources is my focus as a marketer.

I am a professional communicator with extensive experience working with rapidly growing businesses, economic development projects and Internet marketing. My greatest strengths are the ability to assess an existing situation and develop innovative ways to improve that situation using current and evolving marketing capabilities. I believe strongly that new media technologies represent the future of all business development, requiring carefully planned integration with existing strategies. This integration is my specialty.

Author of eight books including six nationally published non-fiction titles (business, marketing and design). Founder of a start-up Internet consulting firm including the development of multiple projects for a significant client list. Founding Board member of Digital Rochester, Inc., a not for profit networking community of over 3000 professionals in the IT and biomedical sectors. Nominee, E-Business Executive of the Year 2002, small business category. Participant, Upstate Alliance for Innovation. Co-organizer, RochesterGrowth.com.

5/2008- present

Director of Marketing, Techrigy, Inc. SaaS provider of social media monitoring and analysis services.

8/2007-present
Co-founder, Supernatural Agency Inc. This company was developed, with a partner, as a means of testing our ideas and developments in online marketing technology including search marketing, behavioral marketing, performance marketing, retargeting, social networking and other emerging marketing technologies. The company is a part time diversion for both of us yet has proven incredibly valuable as a test bed for our ideas.

1/2007-8/2007
Director of Online Marketing, Martino Flynn LLC. I joined the senior management team of this traditional agency with the directive of changing the culture of the agency to one focused on Digital Media. The role was strategic, and involved working with senior client management and agency personnel to help them understand the rapidly changing world of online marketing.

8/2006- 1/2007
Director, Marketing Communications and PR. BlueTie Inc.. In August I moved back into marketing to help launch a major new product initiative called BlueTie Free. The product was launched on October 23rd 2006. The launch included complete redevelopment of the BlueTie site, a major PR launch including press tour (with Text 100), revision of all BlueTie collateral, new search and keyword marketing campaigns and development of the BlueTie blog.

11/2005- 8/2006
General Manager BlueTie Business Division. Manage two sales teams of ten reps each with two sales managers, P&L responsibility, all out-bound marketing activity including websites (1million+ page views monthly), Pay Per Click (Google, Yahoo, Miva, Business.com, etc.), Search Engine Optimization, messaging, new product launches, PR. Served on Senior Management team.

Marketing Manager, BlueTie, Inc. Manage all marketing activities for a rapidly growing software as a service (SaaS) business.
